Who is Small Group For?

All of our groups are for people who attend Rock River Church. In our lobby is a table with group cards displayed. All our small groups are open, so we suggest you try out a few groups and find one that fits you well and has potential for developing friendship. If you’re visiting for the first time, it’s best to contact the group leader to verify what the group is up to that week.

How do you find the right group for you?

Here’s what we’ve found works best for most people:
1. If you’ve come to Rock River Church with a friend, and they’re in a group already, ask if you can visit theirs. If their group’s location or demographic doesn’t work well for you, see if your friend can help you find a group that might be a better fit.

2. Grab a few small-group cards from our small-group display or check out the list of small groups below, when available.

3. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at info@rockriver.church and we would be happy to help you find the right small group.

Our Vision for Small Groups

Small groups are the life of our church and the key to our growth as individuals. Small groups meet weekly, Tuesday through Thursday, throughout the San Marcos area. Each group meets for about 2 hours, and we know people are busy, so our groups make sure to start and end on time.

The small group gathering usually begins with refreshments and socializing, followed by a discussion focused on life application of the Bible using the English Standard Version. If you’re visiting a small group, you’ll find that you can participate in the discussion as much or as little as you’d like, with any amount of familiarity with the Bible. Groups end the evening by taking some time to pray.
